#GIVINGTUESDAYNOW: Thank You to the Doers

May 5, 2020

It’s not a secret that our global Caterpillar team is incredible. And, for more than 95 years, our employees, dealers and customers have been doing whatever it takes to build a better world in the communities where we work and live.

That’s why on this #GivingTuesdayNow we’re celebrating our colleagues, friends and loved ones doing what they can to stop the spread of COVID-19. From developing online trainings to manufacturing personal protective equipment, our employees found ways to help each other, our customers and their communities during these difficult days.

Here are some of the ways our team members are helping …

Supporting Our Customers

Caterpillar customers build infrastructure, mine commodities and power hospitals and businesses that play essential roles in daily life. Our employees and dealers are working to help ensure uninterrupted access to the products and services our customers need to get their jobs done in difficult times.

Supporting Our Communities

Our global team has a long history of giving back in communities where we live and work. From sewing masks to helping neighbors, Caterpillar and Cat® dealer employees are finding ways to help each other during these difficult days. See examples in the photo carousel on this page.

The Caterpillar Foundation recently commited $10 million to global COVID-19 response efforts, including $2.5 million towards a special 2:1 U.S. employee and retiree match. Due to the incredible outpouring of support from our employees and retirees, we reached the match cap in a matter of days! The 1:1 match offered through the Foundation’s U.S. Matching Gift Program remains available though.

How You Can Help

Come together with your family, your community or your company and find a way to give back by doing an act of kindness, volunteering or making a donation. Find ideas at now.givingtuesday.org, and use the hashtag #GivingTuesdayNow on social media to join the conversation. If you are a U.S.-based Caterpillar employee or retiree, learn how the Caterpillar Foundation 1:1 Matching Gifts Program can make your monetary donations go even farther.
