Russia has a need for more efficient construction – a need that we believe our soil stabilization technology can help meet. Russian soil must be replaced prior to road construction due to its poor condition. Our soil stabilization technology improves soil stability, water resistance and load bearing capacity, making replacement unnecessary.
Caterpillar is dedicated to promoting industry standards in Russia. To that end, Caterpillar is partnering with the Russia Federal Highway Administration (RHA) to provide training on U.S. road construction technologies for federal contractors. This program will open doors to new opportunities and customers for Caterpillar road construction products as Russian contractors become trained on the solutions that we offer to streamline road construction projects.
The first Cat Training Program held in Moscow in December 2016 was a tremendous success. The 16-hour classroom course spanning two days covered soil stabilization, full depth reclamation essentials, Cat® Connect technologies and machine operation techniques. Attendees included 46 RHA professionals from 28 Russian Regional Administrations.
The next session is scheduled for April 2017 in the south of Russia (Sochi) and in the Moscow region in May.
