Caterpillar takes a total lifecycle approach to customer value. The company designs and manufactures products for multiple lives, dealers support and service them to maximize their value to the customer, and they can be remanufactured at the end of their serviceable life to deliver the next generation of value.
The remanufacturing process is built on the concept of reusing raw materials and starts when a component reaches the end of its serviceable life. Through the Cat Reman exchange program, dealers return the used iron (core) to Caterpillar where it is cleaned, inspected, salvaged and remanufactured to original factory specifications. World-class salvage techniques make it possible for Caterpillar to return otherwise unusable core parts to when-new condition, keeping them in productive use and out of landfills for multiple lifecycles. Cat Reman parts are remanufactured using strict quality standards, offering customers same-as-when-new performance, durability and warranty at a lower cost than buying new.
Caterpillar remanufacturing is a sustainable solution that helps our customers build a better world.
