As a company and a Foundation, we are focused on helping to build a better world with stronger individuals, communities and economies around the world. Through the products, solutions and services we’re developing, and through the programs we invest in as a Foundation, we are committed to helping to build resilience, enable economic growth, and improve standards of living around the world. 

The Caterpillar Foundation is focused on building resilient communities that thrive in a rapidly changing world by:

• Empowering the workforce of the 21st century – making investments in skills development and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) to equip people with the skills required for tomorrow’s economy and put them on a path to prosperity. Skills-based education leads to better jobs, and better jobs lead to a better future. 
• Balancing the needs of the community and the environment – allowing both to thrive and better withstand shocks and stresses. This includes investments in natural infrastructure and basic services, such as water resource management and energy access. 
• Giving back in our communities – Helping build a better world through volunteer efforts, support for the United Way or other important causes, disaster response. Our global team is using their passions, time and talents to give back.

Launched in 1952, the Caterpillar Foundation was a natural extension of our employees’ values and culture. Along with our partners, we contribute our time and resources to promote the resilience, sustainability and economic strength of communities around the world.
