Caterpillar Named Best Place to Work in Brazil

Piracicaba, August 13, 2019 - Caterpillar is the winner of the Best Place to Work Award for 2019, awarded by Época NEGOCIOS magazine and the Great Place to Work Institute. The announcement was made August 12th, at an event held at Espaço das Américas, in São Paulo, SP, in the presence of the 150 best companies named in this year's guide.

Caterpillar is the winner in the Large Size category. This is the third time Caterpillar has won the prize; the other times were 2018 and 2009.   Caterpillar is recognized as the only company in Brazil be listed in the Top 10 of  the list for 13 consecutive years. From 2007 to 2019, the company obtained five times the second place in addition to the three first place.

The list is developed by Great Place to Work, which conducted qualitative and quantitative research with employees and managers of more than 2,000 Brazilian companies before  ranking of the best. "Happy people at work are 10% more productive," claims Ruy Shiozawa, president of Brazil Great Place to Work Institute. The complete guide comes to the newsstands in September in special issue of Época Negócios, which will highlight all the people management practices of the winning companies.
