April 26, 2021

For more than 90 years, our customers have been using our products and services to help build the world’s infrastructure... the schools that educate our children, the hospitals that heal the sick and the roads that connect people.

A new road can make a major impact in a region and we’re proud to support road-building project through the world, like the new Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, India. The six-lane Purvanchal Expressway will provide seamless connectivity – cutting travel time to less than five hours. The highway is expected to become a vast industrial corridor with possible benefits to wider society such as pollution control, fuel efficiency, reduced number of accidents and more.

Today, our customers are using more than 150 Cat® machines on the site. This impressive assembly of equipment includes motor graders, hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, dozers and soil compactors to name a few. Under the supervision of our technical team, the machines are working continuously to complete this critical project within the stipulated timeframe. The team helps makes sure the equipment is scrupulously well maintained, so it can run smoothly in spite of the long hours and often very high temperature.

At 354 kilometers (or 220 miles), it is touted to be one of the longest highways in the country once completed. It will pass through important cities like Lucknow, Barabanki, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur to reach Ballia.

The world depends on modern transportation and stable infrastructure to grow economies and connect communities and we’re proud to support our customers as they make it possible! When infrastructure modernizes, the country progresses, and millions of Indians are empowered.
