Brian Edwards is a senior vice president of Caterpillar Inc., responsible for the Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division. Cat Reman is at the heart of the enterprise’s commitment to services and sustainability. Since 1973, Cat® Reman has helped Caterpillar, Cat dealers, and our customers succeed by offering high-quality, lower-cost replacement parts remanufactured from genuine Cat components. Cat Reman brings the value at the core of every Cat product back to life – reducing waste and minimizing the need for raw material and energy to produce new parts. Overall, it’s good for customers, Caterpillar, and the environment.
Brian joined Caterpillar in 2010 as vice president of sales and marketing at the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Progress Rail. He continued to advance at Progress Rail, serving in many roles, including executive vice president of rolling stock. Before joining Caterpillar, Brian spent more than 20 years gaining expertise in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain roles at GE and General Motors.
Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Youngstown State University and a master’s degree in manufacturing management from GMI Engineering & Management Institute (now Kettering University). He completed Caterpillar’s Executive Leadership Development Program in partnership with Stanford University.
Brian serves as executive sponsor for Caterpillar’s Armed Forces Support Network employee resource group. He is also affiliated with United Way, March of Dimes, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He grew up in the “Steel Valley” in the small town of Struthers, Ohio.
