Caterpillar in Japan

In 1963, Caterpillar began operations in Japan through a joint venture with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Today, our Japan team leads the development hydraulic excavators for Caterpillar. The Akashi facility delivers hydraulic excavator technologies to our local and global customers. 

Cat Financial also has a presence in region to support our Japanese customers.
